The Commission adopts its infringement procedures for February

To ensure EU member states comply with Union law, the Commission has adopted its February infringement package. This includes issuing 10 letters of formal notice, 31 reasoned opinions, and deciding to refer 8 cases to the Court of Justice of the EU. European Commission issues €11 billion in its 2nd syndicated transaction of 2025

New geographical indications approved for Belgium, Finland, and France

The Commission approved new entries in the Protected Geographical Indications register: Walloon honey, Yläsavolainen muurinpohjalettu, and Cavaillon melon. These join 3646 other protected products listed in the eAmbrosia database.

€378.1 million payment for Finland under NextGenerationEU

The Commission positively assessed Finlands request for €378.1 million, tied to reforms and investments. The payment will proceed following Economic and Financial Committee approval. More details are available online.

€76.9 million payment for Cyprus under NextGenerationEU
