Member States update EU list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes

To advance tax transparency and fair taxation globally, the EU updated its list of non-cooperative jurisdictions. This update reflects successful dialogues, with no new jurisdictions added to the list of 11 countries, including American Samoa, Anguilla, and Fiji. Positive changes are noted in some jurisdictions, indicating progress in resolving tax issues.

Eight jurisdictions have pending commitments to enhance their tax governance, including Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, and Seychelles. The EU will monitor these commitments closely.

The EU list aims to encourage jurisdictions to adopt good tax governance standards to combat tax fraud and avoidance. The list is updated biannually to remain relevant and accurate.
