Amsterdam has many festivals and events where residents and visitors come together. There is plenty of choice every week. Due to changes in the city, new policy for events is necessary. You can think along about this.
The events policy determines how we offer events that appeal to Amsterdammers and fit the neighborhood. We ensure a good distribution of events and look at new permit conditions and subsidies.
Rules per Location
For locations in the city, rules have been set about what is allowed and what is not, such as the number of events and sound levels. These plans will be reviewed and you can give your opinion.
Information Meeting on February 6
On February 6, there will be an information meeting about the new policy and how you can participate. You can ask questions and share ideas about the process.
Give Your Opinion Online
You will soon be able to give your opinion online via the questionnaire at amsterdam.nl/evenementenbeleid. The questionnaire for district East is already available.
Participation Meetings
Starting February 24, there will be meetings in the districts to involve residents and stakeholders. You can discuss the new policy.
What We Do with the Outcomes
The meetings are the first step in participation. The council wants a proposal that considers all interests. This proposal will be presented in May for feedback.
