Revenue in the hospitality sector grows by nearly 7 percent in the fourth quarter

The revenue of the hospitality sector grew by 6.6 percent in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the fourth quarter of 2023, reports CBS. The revenue from accommodation services was 3.7 percent higher, while the revenue from food and drink establishments was 7.8 percent higher.

With the fourth quarter, the annual figure is also available. In 2024, the revenue of the hospitality sector grew by 5.4 percent compared to 2023. The revenue increase from accommodation providers was 4.1 percent, while that of food and drink establishments was 5.9 percent. The growth of the hospitality sector in 2024 was lower than in 2023. Back then, revenue growth was 12.6 percent.

Accommodation services 3.7 percent higher

The revenue from accommodation services, including hotels and holiday parks, was 3.7 percent higher in the fourth quarter compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. Hotels generated 3.6 percent more revenue. The growth of other accommodation providers, including campsites and holiday parks, was 3.8 percent year-on-year.

Food and drink establishments generated 7.8 percent more revenue

Food and drink establishments generated 7.8 percent more revenue in the fourth quarter compared to a year earlier. Restaurants achieved the largest revenue increase of the hospitality sectors with 9 percent. The revenue growth of canteens and catering was 7.8 percent. Fast food restaurants and cafes saw increases of 6.4 and 6.5 percent, respectively.
