This week, about 11,000 homeowners in Breda will receive a letter asking them to participate in a study on making their homes more sustainable. The municipality aims to gain insight into the challenges residents face in sustainability, the help they need, and their reasons for or against taking action.
Climate Neutral by 2044
The municipality of Breda is actively working towards a sustainable future, aiming to be fully climate neutral and free from natural gas by 2044. The alternative to natural gas may vary by neighborhood and is not yet determined. This alternative heating source will require better insulation and ventilation in homes, along with a shift to electric cooking. The municipality aims to inform residents well to work together towards a future-proof city.
Municipal Research
This municipal research is conducted in collaboration with ABBI Insights among homeowners spread across all neighborhoods and villages in Breda. The results will help the municipality better respond to the needs of residents in the coming years.
