Rijkswaterstaat has awarded construction company Heijmans the task of building noise barriers along the A4 near Dinteloord and A17 near Standdaarbuiten to reduce noise disturbance for local residents. The barriers are scheduled for completion in autumn 2026.
Heijmans ensures minimal nitrogen emissions during construction by using low-emission machinery. This approach meets our requirements and protects nearby nature areas. The noise barriers will range from 1 to 3 meters in height, with a total length of approximately 350 meters at Dinteloord and 900 meters at Standdaarbuiten.
Preparatory Work
Before Heijmans starts building the barriers, preparatory work is required. Mid-2025, Brabant Water and Enexis will relocate some cables and pipelines in Standdaarbuiten. Trees will also be removed to make space for the barriers, with new trees to be replanted at a suitable location nearby.
More Information for Residents
Residents near the A4 at Dinteloord and the A17 at Standdaarbuiten will be invited to a community meeting in mid-2025. They will receive more details about the schedule, execution, and expected disturbances during the construction.
