Honourable Chair, Honourable Members,
Thank you for inviting me to outline our recent communication on implementation and simplification. Our focus is on enhancing Europes competitiveness through simplification. The 2025 Commission work programme is pivotal in this.
In todays complex world, the EU must adapt, innovate, and compete. The Commission prioritizes these aspects to ensure prosperity and preserve values.
The Competitiveness Compass guides us in reviving economic dynamism, focusing on innovation, decarbonisation, and security. Simplification is crucial to Europes competitiveness.
We aim to simplify regulations, reducing burdens on businesses. This will help achieve our green and digital goals.
The strategy includes four pillars: delivering results, making Europe simpler, improving rule-making, and collaborating with co-legislators.
We set ambitious targets to reduce administrative burdens, with significant economic impact expected.
By collaborating closely with stakeholders, we aim to implement effective and efficient regulations, benefiting all sectors.
