Protecting farmers from unfair trading practices

From around 10.00, Parliament will debate new rules to strengthen cross-border cooperation to tackle unfair trading practices in the agri-food supply chain with Commissioner Marta Kos. The new legislation, which will be put to vote at noon, was agreed provisionally with member states in November. The goal is to improve the position of farmers in the EU when buyers are based in another member state or outside the EU.
