Tile Flipping 2026: Will you join us?
Are you flipping tiles from your garden or pavement this spring (or autumn)? Then sign up for the Tile Taxi. We will pick up your tiles for free on one of the collection days.

- Make a plan: Determine which tiles (30x30 cm or similar) can be removed.
- Register tiles: Report the number of flipped tiles (and the area) via the app Zo gemeld, zo hersteld or via: make a report. After registration, you will receive an email confirming the date. In the week leading up to this date, pallets for tiles or bigbags for sand disposal will be issued. When registering, we ask for 3 photos: 1 before and 2 after the tile flipping action. Note: we will check if greening is actually done. If not, we will not take the tiles with us.
- Flip tiles: Remove the tiles.
- Prepare the subbase: Remove excess sand and improve the soil (add compost for better plant growth).
- Replace greenery: Plant flowers, shrubs, or grass, or lay a lawn or sedum.
- Arrange disposal: Use tiles yourself (e.g. for a small wall) or make use of the tile taxi. (this is deployed by our GEM BOZ)
