Swimming pool Wolfslaar will be open for 4 weeks longer this summer. Swimmers can enjoy the Bredase outdoor pool from April 14 to September 14. The extension of the opening hours is a result of new agreements made by the municipality of Breda with Optisport. This party will again manage the operation of the 3 swimming pools (De Wisselaar, Van Sonsbeeck, and Wolfslaar) and the ice rink in Breda for the next 5 years. The municipality continues the collaboration with Optisport starting April 1, 2025, based on new agreements. This is the result of a tender conducted by the municipality of Breda.
The tender aimed to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction, and Optisport has won it. In recent weeks, the necessary documents and contracts have been prepared and signed. This officially completes the procedure. In the coming years, the collaboration between Optisport and the municipality of Breda will become more intensive, and the service delivery will be evaluated periodically.
