During the ‘Love What You Have’ festival, you’ll discover how to make your belongings last longer—and how easy and enjoyable it can be. The festival is free to attend.
- When: Saturday, 21 March
- Time: 13:00 – 16:00
- Where: Stadsetalage, Grote Kerkhof 1
Admission and participation in activities are free.
Here’s what you can do at the festival
Do you have a game you’ve grown tired of? A book gathering dust on your shelf? Or are you in need of a new outfit? At the festival, you can easily swap books, games, and clothing. You can also have (small) appliances repaired by the skilled volunteers of the repair café. Get your phone checked, make your own laundry detergent, or repair your clothes—and don’t forget to sample the free snacks.
Why this festival?
Organiser Sanne Zuithof (Junior Policy Officer Circular Economy) says: “We often have more belongings than we realise, and we don’t always use them consciously. With this festival, we want to show how easy and fun it is to swap, share, and repair items.” Why is this important? By using your belongings for longer, swapping or sharing them, you won’t always need to buy new things—which is better for the environment. And for your wallet, of course. Come by on Saturday, 21 March!” The festival is organised by the Municipality of Deventer and the Deventer Sustainability Centre.
