Celebratory start of Weideveld construction
Future residents celebrated the official start of construction of Weideveld on March 3rd, together with builders Heijmans, Van Wijnen, housing corporation De Alliantie and the municipality of Eemnes. A total of 41 homes will be built in Weideveld; a mix of for sale and rental properties. The large turnout of future residents shows that the foundation for a close-knit, lively residential area has already been laid.
Alderman Eek: “Weideveld forms a beautiful progression of the Zuidpolder project and will undoubtedly become a special place to live. Here, quality, space and community come together.”
Meet your neighbors
The future residents made full use of the moment to get to know their new neighbors. Through lively conversations, it became visible how Weideveld is beginning to take shape, even before the first home is delivered. With sun and live music, the afternoon took on a festive and connecting character.
Vision and ambition
The afternoon started with an interview with the alderman of Eemnes, directors of Heijmans and Van Wijnen and housing corporation De Alliantie. The collaboration between the different parties and their joint ambition to realize a comfortable and future-proof living environment were highlighted.
Maarten Reeze of Van Wijnen:
“The combination of quality, atmosphere and a fantastic location makes us proud of Weideveld, but especially that we expect the future residents to feel completely at home here from day one.”
Erik Vos of Heijmans:
“Comfort, sustainability and attention to different housing wishes ensure that residents can live here pleasantly and with pleasure, now and in the future. We look with pride at this sub-plan and at what we have built here together with all parties involved over the past fourteen years: a healthy living environment.”
Fleur Imming of De Alliantie also emphasized the importance of the project.
“De Alliantie realizes social rental homes and mid-segment homes in Weideveld. This contributes to a varied housing offer in the neighborhood: with the rental homes in Weideveld we ensure that this new neighborhood is accessible to a broad group of residents.”
As a symbol of the collaboration, the different parties, together with future residents, laid out a puzzle of Weideveld.
Natural village living
Zuidpolder stands for natural village living, in a pastoral landscape, surrounded by canals and lots of greenery. This is the polder area south of the existing built-up area. On this unique spot, more than 450 homes have already been realized with rural architecture and high sustainability standards.
Weideveld in Zuidpolder is a collaboration between the municipality of Eemnes and housing developers Van Wijnen Projectontwikkeling Oost B.V. and Heijmans Huizen B.V. More information about Zuidpolder and the way it is developed can be found at www.zuidpoldereemnes.nl.
