Garsthuizen receives money as first village from the Village and Neighborhood Visions program
Garsthuizen is the first village in the municipality of Eemsdelta to receive a contribution from measure 14 (Village and Neighborhood Visions).
On Wednesday, March 4, money was released for the first time from the Village and Neighborhood Visions program. Together with the management of the village house in Garsthuizen, we paused to reflect on this moment. To symbolically mark this occasion, the management of the village house received a check with the amount from the mayor and aldermen.

One of the measures to settle the honor debt of the Netherlands to the gas extraction area is measure 14: for every neighborhood and every village in the municipality of Eemsdelta, money has been made available to improve livability. As a college and council, we have ensured that residents have more than 50% say over this amount. Therefore, a fixed amount has been made available per village and neighborhood to improve livability.
