Maintenance on platform canopy at Geldrop station: possible noise disturbance
ProRail will carry out maintenance on the platform canopy at Geldrop station in the coming months. Do you live near the tracks? You may notice something during these works. From April until the end of July, the wooden and steel components of the platform canopy will be painted and any wood rot will be repaired. Thanks to this maintenance, the structure will last for another 15 years.
Preparatory work in April
Before the painting begins, the platform canopies will first be thoroughly cleaned. This will be done using high-pressure water (up to 200 bar) to remove dirt and grime. During these works, you may experience temporary noise disturbance. The cleaning will take place from Sunday, April 12 until Friday, April 17, between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
Why in the evening and at night?
During the cleaning process, a lot of water will end up on the platform. For this reason, the work can only be carried out when there are no passengers on the platform. For more information about track works in your area, visit www.prorail.nl/spoorwerk.
