Bravoflex: Flexible on-demand transport, now available in our municipality
No fixed timetable, no detours—just book and go. From now on, you can board at any local stop in our municipality whenever it suits you.
Bravoflex is neither a regular bus nor a conventional taxi. It is on-demand flexible transport: a minibus or taxi picks you up at a local stop and takes you to a major public transport interchange. Within our municipality, the Bravoflex stop at Geldrop station is designated as an interchange hub. This hub is already fully operational: passengers can use it and book their trips as intended. From there, you can continue your journey by bus or train—without unnecessary waiting or detours.
A smart link in your journey
A trip costs two euros when no regular bus is running at that time. When buses are operating, the fare is five euros. Bravoflex operates seven days a week, from early morning until late evening. The trips are provided by regional taxi companies.
Exactly where it’s needed
On weekends or in the evenings, regular buses run less frequently. Some areas have no bus service at all. That’s where Bravoflex makes the difference. Across Brabant, over 200 special stops have been set up in rural areas, hamlets, and business parks. This ensures that small communities and outlying neighborhoods are better connected to public transport in the rest of the province. “This is truly an addition to public transport, not a replacement,” says Alderman Hans van de Laar. “That way, everyone can still participate, and we make many more trips and encounters possible.”
From stop to stop
With Bravoflex, you can also travel directly from one stop to another within your area. This allows you to skip the public transport interchange and go straight to your chosen final stop. The maximum travel distance is 25 kilometers. However, you will pay a higher fare: a base fare of €5.60 plus €0.97 per kilometer (2025 rates). You can easily book this trip via the app, by phone, or through the website.
How does it work?
- Book your trip at least 1 hour before departure via the Bravoflex app or by phone (088 076 0000)
- Select your departure or arrival stop and desired time.
- Specify the number of passengers and whether you are traveling with a wheelchair, stroller, or pet (children up to and including 11 years old travel free with a paying adult).
- Pay securely with iDEAL or by debit card in the taxi.
