We receive an additional € 4 million for the development of Beatrixplein in Haarlem. This money comes from the national government via the Housing Construction Impulse (Wbi). The amount is needed because the costs for construction and materials have increased.
The Beatrixdreef will soon connect the neighborhood with Reinaldapark and the shopping center at Beatrixplein. This green connection will have paths, benches, playground equipment, and sports areas. Next to the shopping square, we are building an above-ground parking facility. Future residents can park there. This will make Beatrixplein low-traffic. On the ground floor of the parking garage, there will be space for community functions.
Part of a larger development
The public space and the above-ground parking facility are part of a larger area development around Beatrixplein. With these plans, we make the neighborhood greener, more accessible, and ready for the future.
