Information request
Mr. Litjens (CDA) has, based on discussions and the clarification debate, convinced Messrs. Ronnes and Stas to take on the information request. The information request and the full letter to the informateurs are provided below.
The information request from the letter to the informateurs:
"In my role as parliamentary leader of the CDA Horst aan de Maas, following the clarification debate and the summary by the mayor of this debate, I have formulated the following request:
Considerations (based on preliminary results):
- The election results show that Horst aan de Maas has voted more to the right. Centre-right: 2/3 and Left: 1/3;
- Importance of Horst aan de Maas and the VVD gaining a seat;
- The SP returns to the council;
- That 'change' is a theme;
- That the new municipal administration faces major challenges;
- That great value is placed on a fresh and good start in which, under external guidance, work will be done on good mutual relations, shared values, proper conduct, stability, open and transparent work and action, with respect for each other's roles, collaboration that is unifying towards each other and society, and in which the past is addressed and blockages removed, accounts settled so that everyone can start this period with a clean slate;
- That Horst aan de Maas needs a strong council that, as one team with one mission, truly collaborates collegially, focuses on good relations with the council and the environment (from outside to inside). A council that tackles its work with creativity, courage, 'it can be done', entrepreneurship and determination, where proven administrative experience that fits the previous period forms the basis of the core of this new council;
- That the desire is to form a broad coalition that reflects the election results, the themes of the elections and does justice to parties that have gained seats;
- That there is a broad desire to work with a council agreement.
Request:
- To engage in discussions with all parties on:
- Reflection on the results
- Key priorities (that parties would like to see reflected in the council agreement)
- Breaking points (content-related and/or parties)
- Obstacles from the past
- Desired coalition
- Potential candidates for office
- Based on these discussions, to formulate advice to be presented to the council on 1 April with recommendations on the next steps to be taken.
The informateurs may be supported by the municipality in areas such as reporting, communication, scheduling agreements, etc."
