Farewell council meeting on 30 March and installation meeting on 1 April
Next week, two special council meetings are scheduled in the municipality of Lochem. On Monday 30 March, the councillors who will not return to the council will bid farewell. On Wednesday 1 April, the 23 councillors will be sworn in for the 2026–2030 council term.
During the farewell council meeting on 30 March, Mayor Backhuijs will address the departing councillors. They will also have the opportunity to speak for the final time in the municipal council. In addition, the council will make decisions during this meeting regarding the admission of the councillors for the new council term.
Installation of new councillors and faction representatives
On Wednesday 1 April, the 23 councillors will be installed for the new council term. Councillors who were already on the municipal council before the elections will also take the oath or affirmation again.
