On May 6, 2025, work will begin on the Wilhelmina Bridge, Wilhelminasingel, Sint Maartenslaan, and Franciscus Romanusweg. The Municipality of Maastricht is collaborating with Rijkswaterstaat and contractor Heijmans. The project will be carried out in four phases and is expected to be completed by the end of November, provided everything goes according to plan.
Wilhelmina Bridge Closed for 8 Weeks
An important moment in the project is the closure of the Wilhelmina Bridge from June 30 to August 23, 2025. During this period, the bridge will be closed to all traffic. Public transport will be rerouted. Cyclists and pedestrians can cross the Maas via the Servaas Bridge.
Measures for Accessibility
To keep the city accessible, Sint Antoniuslaan will be temporarily opened. Additionally, Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar is involved in providing information through mobile advertisements.
Information for Residents and Entrepreneurs
Residents will receive a letter for each phase. On April 22, 2025, there will be an open evening at the Stadsbrouwerij. During the works, the area manager will remain available and updates will be shared via the BouwApp, www.thuisinmaastricht.nl/wilhelminasingel and www.maastrichtbereikbaar.nl
