Energy meeting at De Toverdans was a great success
On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, Destion, the Energiecafé Mook and Middelaar, and the municipality organized an energy meeting at De Toverdans in Molenhoek. Between 9:00 and 15:00, energy coaches and Destion employees visited residents. The day was a great success. We spoke to many residents and were able to help them with tips and solutions to save energy.
Asking questions
During the energy meeting, residents had the opportunity to ask questions about their energy bills, home ventilation, and preventing mold. While enjoying a cup of coffee or tea with a slice of vlaai, energy coaches Stef, Rolf, and Guus took the time to review matters with residents and provide advice.
Energy-saving measures
Edwin (neighborhood consultant), Dave (supervisor), and René (carpenter) from Destion were also present, along with Sandra, a handyman from the Energiecafé. They assisted residents directly with small energy-saving measures. For example, radiator foil, pipe insulation, radiator fans, and draft strips were installed. They also checked whether lamps could be replaced with more energy-efficient alternatives. These practical adjustments improved the living comfort in the homes.
Healthy air
Additionally, the energy coaches took measurements in various homes using a moisture meter and a CO₂ meter. This gave residents better insight into the indoor climate and what they could do themselves to keep the air healthy. Thanks to the personal conversations at the door and at the meeting point, many residents were reached. Residents were enthusiastic about the practical help and clear explanations.
