21 March: National Clean-Up Day
Let’s roll up our sleeves together on Saturday 21 March for National Clean-Up Day. Join in and take part in a clean-up walk. Sweep the school playground, pick up litter in the park, or make the streets around your home litter-free. During National Clean-Up Day, we clean up our own neighbourhoods. And we do it together. Taking part in National Clean-Up Day is easy: go to www.supportervanschoon.nl and choose how you want to get involved.
Borrowing grabbers
Want to use a grabber to pick up litter more easily? You can. We lend out litter grabbers. Pick up a grabber on Friday 20 March between 8.00 and 14.00 at the municipal yard on Ampèrestraat 2 in Nieuwveen. Please return it by 1 April to the municipal yard.
Organisation Meijebelangen also cordially invites you to help with the clean-up. This involves the stretch from Kerkweg to and including Kerk/Halve Maan.
- Meeting point is De Meij rest area (between Meije 92 and 94).
The organisers ask you to bring a litter grabber and a safety vest. Meijebelangen will provide litter bags (and a number of grabbers). Please come to the meeting point on foot or by bike if possible. Sign up by emailing meijebelangen@gmail.com.
