High Street temporarily closed in April for road redesign
The High Street in Nijmegen will be partially closed from 7 to 24 April. The closure is necessary for the redesign of the bend, which includes the installation of a green central reservation and a new zebra crossing. The Voerweg will also be closed on the night of 1 to 2 April.
Phased closure
The work will be carried out in two phases:
- Phase A: 7 to 15 April – The inner bend will be closed. Traffic will still be possible in one direction: from Hertogstraat to Voerweg.
- Phase B: 15 to 24 April – The outer bend will be closed. Traffic will again be possible in one direction: from Hertogstraat to Voerweg. Traffic from Burchtstraat can exit the city centre via a temporary route. Separate supply routes have been set up for businesses.
