Getting to work with water in Peize
In Peize, work is underway in several locations to improve water drainage. Kortland is one of the areas in Peize where a new sewer system is being installed. In recent years, many places have experienced flooding, especially after prolonged rain or heavy downpours. Several projects are currently underway to reduce water-related issues. This will prepare Peize for the future.
Over the coming years, the centre of Peize will be redesigned. Underground, a separate sewer system will be installed. One pipe will carry wastewater from homes and businesses, while a second pipe will drain (clean) rainwater from streets and roofs. When it rains heavily for a long time, the sewer system will be able to handle much more water. Above ground, roads and public spaces will also be renovated.
