New Youth Assistance Regulation
As of March 1, the new Youth Assistance Regulation of Renswoude has come into effect.
This regulation sets out the basic rules and guidelines for the implementation of youth assistance by the municipality. The new ordinance aligns with amended legislation and regulations, as well as local, regional, and national developments. In Renswoude, we work with 9 core values for youth assistance:
- The best interests of the child come first.
- Parents do what they can themselves, with the help of their personal and/or social network where necessary.
- If that is not sufficient, the municipality collaborates on finding a solution tailored to the situation of the child and the family.
- The municipality offers a broad range of support where needed, tailored to the situation of the child and the family.
- We aim to avoid unnecessary labeling and provide support only where necessary.
- Assistance is provided as lightly and briefly as possible, but as intensively as required.
- If youth care is needed, it is provided in an integrated and family-oriented manner.
- Care and support are coordinated as much as possible with the child and their parent(s) and are provided as close to home as possible in a familiar environment, tailored to the child’s needs.
- The assistance provided must have a positive impact on the child, which is why we focus on results.
