Large turnout at open day for new outdoor service building
Published on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 in News, New outdoor service building.
Last Saturday, we organised an open day for our new outdoor service building in Bolsward together with Bouwgroep Dijkstra Draisma. During the open day, visitors could see how we use as many natural and recycled materials as possible.
Great success
There was an enormous turnout, from local residents to construction professionals. Whether alone or with the whole family, it was wonderful to see so many people interested in circular construction and our new outdoor service building!
In collaboration with subcontractors
There were 11 subcontractors present. They demonstrated, among other things, how to build using natural and recycled materials. For example, old cold room panels in the façade and old pairs of jeans in the ceiling. Visitors could also see how we store rainwater.
Fun for children too
There was plenty for the children to do as well. They could try on a VR headset, do some carpentry, or play in the sand. Something for everyone.
Construction continues in the coming months
Bouwgroep Dijkstra Draisma will deliver the new outdoor service building in the summer.
