Start of pruning work
From March 16, 2026, we will begin maintenance on municipal trees in the De Vloed, Centrum, ’t Harde Ven, Breeakker, Buitengebied Breeakker, ’t Eigen, Breugel, and Hoogstraat districts.
The work is expected to last until the end of May, depending on weather conditions. We will carry out the work outside of peak hours. The pruning of trees along Gentiaanlaan is scheduled during the May school holidays. The school near the diversion route will be closed at that time, so there will be no disruption for students.
We will only prune trees where it is truly necessary. This may include maintaining sufficient space for traffic or street lighting or ensuring the long-term health of the tree. By pruning strategically, we ensure that the tree population remains balanced and the green character of the neighborhoods is preserved.
