Terneuzen receives high rating
The Province of Zeeland has given us a positive assessment of our work in the areas of heritage, archaeology, archive and information management, and environmental law. Each year, the province reviews these tasks through the Intergovernmental Supervision (IBT). It examines whether we are carrying out our statutory duties carefully, on time, and in accordance with the rules.
On March 2, Alderman Jeroen de Buck received the official 2024 IBT report in the Abbey in Middelburg. Deputy Harry van der Maas presented the report to him. The report assesses the quality of our work, the completeness of the files, the currency of our policies, and the expertise of our staff. The report shows that our municipality performed exceptionally well in 2024. We received the highest rating in all areas. According to the province, we are actively working on further improvements, and our internal processes are well-organized.
