Together in an increasingly digital world
The world around us is changing, and digitalisation is becoming more prevalent: from banking to booking a holiday. This is not self-evident for everyone. That’s why we are working together with residents to ensure that everyone can keep up.
During the preparation phase, we spoke with residents about what they consider important to address in the coming years. We have incorporated their feedback into the new Digitalisation Policy Memorandum.
Living together and working together
So much is happening around us in the field of digitalisation that we have divided our plans into two main themes. These themes are: Living together and Working together.
Under the theme Living together, we ensure that you can (continue to) participate. For example, we make our websites accessible to people who are blind or visually impaired. We also ensure that if you get stuck on the website, there is always someone who can help—whether by phone or in person at our City Shop. In addition, it is important that we continue to consider the technical possibilities and the impact certain choices may have on residents.
Under the theme Working together, we look at what we can learn together by trying things out. We do this in a safe way, together with you as a resident and our partners in the city and villages. We share information, but only when permitted and necessary. For example, this allows us to keep the fair fun and enjoyable by predicting crowds.
