Incluzio begins youth work in Twenterand on 1 April
It has been known for some time that Incluzio would take over the youth work from ZorgSaam. From Wednesday, 1 April, this will officially take effect, marking the start of a new approach to youth work in Twenterand. Over the coming weeks, both organisations will finalise the handover. The municipality thanks ZorgSaam for its commitment and involvement over the past years, during which it performed valuable work for young people in all communities.
Incluzio will further develop youth work, with greater emphasis on strengthening young people and their living environment. Youth workers help young people discover and develop their talents, while working on resilience and self-confidence. They are visible in the neighbourhood, respond to local needs, and actively involve young people, parents, and volunteers. Incluzio is already active in Twenterand, including family support and the separation point, and previously carried out part of the youth work.
Kick-off
On Wednesday, 8 April, Incluzio will host a kick-off for partner organisations working with young people, such as the municipality, police, enforcement agencies, and various care and welfare partners. They will explain how youth work will be organised in the coming period. In the following weeks, a tour will be made of the four village centres, where kick-off meetings will be held for young people, parents, volunteers, and local partners. Residents will have the chance to meet the youth workers, exchange ideas, and discuss local needs. The schedule will be shared soon.
A pleasant and safe environment
Deputy Mayor Rik Pape considers this new step important. “With this assignment for youth work, we are focusing in Twenterand on building a pleasant and safe environment where young people can grow up healthily,” Pape explains. “Young people should be able to easily find help when needed. Together with organisations working with young people, we will continue to build a solid foundation for young people in Twenterand over the coming years.”
