Will you participate in Circular Economy Week?
This week focuses on smarter ways to use our belongings and raw materials. But… what does "circular" actually mean?
Circular means keeping products and materials in use for as long as possible. Instead of throwing them away and buying new ones, we repair, share, or reuse them. And if that’s not possible, we recycle. This saves raw materials, energy, and reduces the waste mountain. To raise awareness about circularity, the following activities are organised during Circular Week:
Clothing Swaps
Wearing second-hand clothing extends its lifespan. It’s cheaper and better for the environment. On Friday, 20 March from 18:00 to 21:00 and Saturday, 21 March from 09:00 to 10:30, a clothing swap will take place in the gym hall of Eben-Haëzer School (Zandenallee 18 in Teuge). On Saturday, 21 March from 09:30 to 13:00, another clothing swap will be held at Kledingbank Voorst (Ouderrijkstraatweg 59 A in Twello).
Tour of Circulus
Would you like to see what happens to your waste after you drop it off at the recycling point? Join a tour at the Circulus recycling point on Thursday, 26 March from 15:00 to 17:00 at Westfalenstraat 5 in Deventer. Registration is required, as space is limited.
Repair Café Voorst
Do you have something that no longer works or is broken? Visit Repair Café Voorst! On Saturday, 28 March from 10:00 to 13:00 at Zone.college, no appointment is needed—just bring your broken item, enjoy a cup of coffee, and watch as a volunteer helps you repair it.
