Municipality of Waalwijk cleaner thanks to schools and volunteers
Saturday, March 21, was National Cleanup Day. In our municipality as well, residents and schools rolled up their sleeves. They once again helped keep Waalwijk, Sprang-Capelle, and Waspik clean last week. And they received a little treat in return.
Sweet treats
Several primary schools started as early as Friday. They cleared litter around their schools. On Saturday, various groups in our municipality got to work in all three districts. Municipal councillor Sheila Schuijffel also joined in. She helped clear litter with the group ‘Langstraat bouwt aan verandering’ in Sprang-Capelle. We visited the volunteers to hand out some sweet treats.
Thank you to everyone
National Cleanup Day was another success in our municipality this year. A total of 620 kilograms of litter was collected. A fine collaboration between residents, schools, and the municipality. Thank you to everyone for helping keep our living environment clean!
