Residents take action for a clean Waddinxveen
Last Saturday marked the National Cleanup Day. Many residents of Waddinxveen came together to take action and make the town a little cleaner. Armed with litter grabbers, trash bags, and plenty of energy, over 350 residents went outside to pick up litter. Neighbors, families, friends, and volunteers worked together toward the same goal: a clean and livable Waddinxveen. Even the youngest residents contributed. From March 24 to March 26, an additional 584 students from four primary schools will take to the streets to clean up the areas around their schools. In total, nearly 900 residents, young and old, are helping to make Waddinxveen litter-free.
We would like to thank all the volunteers for their help!
Together we keep Waddinxveen clean
Litter is not just an eyesore; it also poses a danger to animals and nature. Plastic and other waste end up in parks, ditches, and forests, where animals can swallow it or become entangled in it. Much of this waste remains for years, causing increasing damage. By taking joint responsibility and disposing of waste properly or taking it home, we can keep Waddinxveen clean, safe, and pleasant for everyone. A small effort makes a big difference!
