Review and preliminary results of the 2026 municipal council election
On Wednesday, March 18, residents of Waddinxveen cast their votes in the municipal council election. A total of 26,792 residents were eligible to vote. In total, 54.42% of the residents cast their ballots. We would like to thank everyone who voted, as well as all the volunteers and staff who helped ensure the election ran smoothly. Mayor Evert Jan Nieuwenhuis said:

The preliminary results of the municipal council election at the candidate level are now available. On Thursday, March 19, the votes were counted centrally at both the party and candidate levels.
