Residents invited to shape green future of Waterland neighbourhoods

Have your say on the green spaces in your neighbourhood
We invite all residents to help shape the practical implementation of our new green policy. We’d love to hear your ideas for the green, grass and planting areas in your neighbourhood. That’s why we’re organising various meetings in all neighbourhoods throughout March.
The meeting will begin with a short presentation on our new environmental programme ‘Groen in Waterland’ (Green in Waterland), which aims to enhance liveability and biodiversity in our area. Using maps of the neighbourhood and/or village, we’ll discuss: where grass can be left to grow longer (for insects), which planting areas can be improved, where extra trees can be planted, and similar topics. Your input on what else could be done to boost liveability and biodiversity in your living environment is very valuable to us. There will also be plenty of time for questions, comments and other ideas. The evenings are organised per neighbourhood; see below for the dates. We hope to see you there and would love for you to join us in brainstorming!
