Preliminary results of municipal council elections
Following the provisional announcement of the election results by party on Wednesday evening, the votes were counted per candidate yesterday. Based on this count, we can now draw up a preliminary balance. Subject to any notifications from voters, checks by the Electoral Council and the central polling station, we can announce a preliminary allocation of seats for the new municipal council. We also publish the preliminary results of preference votes and remaining seats.
Preliminary appointments
The preliminary count shows that the following individuals can be appointed. This result is also, of course, subject to checks. In addition, it is possible that councillors may decline their appointment.
Final results on 26 March
The minutes of the preliminary results are available on the Results page. If residents notice any errors in these minutes, they can report them to the central polling station via the form on the Results page until Tuesday 24 March 2026 at 10:00. The central polling station will also conduct various checks in the coming days, together with the Electoral Council. The final determination of the results by the central polling station will take place on Thursday 26 March 2026 at 10:00. The minutes of this meeting will also be published on the Results page.
Credentials Committee
Once the results have been definitively confirmed by the central polling station, the candidates will be appointed in accordance with these results. The Credentials Committee will then begin its investigation into the appointed members. This may still lead to a recount of one or more polling stations. The current municipal council will decide on this.
Swearing-in of the new municipal council
Once the results and the new composition of the municipal council have been definitively confirmed, the current municipal council will be bid farewell on Tuesday 31 March 2026 at 19:30. The following day, Wednesday 1 April, at 19:30, the new municipal council will be sworn in. Both meetings are open to residents and will take place in the council chamber of the town hall. The meetings can also be viewed via the livestream.
