End of temporary increased return support for Syria
From January 1, 2026, Syrians will be eligible for return support in line with the standard amounts. This marks the end of the temporary increased support that applied from November 17 to December 31, 2025.
For applications submitted from January 1, 2026, the return support amounts applicable to other countries of origin will apply:
- For Syrians with a residence permit or an ongoing procedure, an amount of €2,800 per adult and €1,650 per minor in cash.
- Syrians with a return decision will receive support primarily in kind through the EURP program. Adults will receive €200 at Schiphol for basic departure support, €615 in Syria for post-arrival assistance, as well as €2,000 in reintegration support. For minors with a return decision, the amount is €40 for basic departure support, €615 for post-arrival assistance, and €1,000 in reintegration support.
DTenV only provides support for definitive return. We do not support temporary return, such as for family visits or retrieving belongings.
