Pilot with walk-in consultation hours for single earners in Aalsmeer
The Municipality of Aalsmeer will hold a pilot in April with weekly walk-in consultation hours on Wednesdays for residents who may be single earners. During these sessions, residents of Aalsmeer and Kudelstaart can visit without an appointment to ask questions about the Temporary Allowance for Single Earners.
People with a low income who are married or cohabiting sometimes have less money left over than the amount they minimally need to live on. This can happen, for example, if one partner receives income from a benefit and the other partner has no or little income. This is a single-earner household. These households may receive insufficient housing allowance or healthcare allowance. They may be entitled to an additional allowance.
During the walk-in consultation hours, municipal employees will assist residents with:
- determining whether they qualify as single earners according to the rules;
- checking whether they are entitled to the temporary allowance;
- submitting an application.
When and where?
- Every Wednesday in April
- 9:00–11:00 AM
- Town Hall, Aalsmeer
A prior appointment is not required. More information about the scheme is available at aalsmeer.nl/alleenverdieners.
