Closure of A12 from Gouwe interchange to Bodegraven
This coming weekend, from Friday evening March 20 at 10:00 PM until Monday morning March 23 at 5:00 AM, the A12 will be closed between the Gouwe interchange and the junction with the N11 near Bodegraven. The same applies the following weekend, from Friday evening March 27 until Monday morning March 30.
The on- and off-ramps and connecting roads may close up to an hour earlier. Through traffic will be diverted and should expect an additional travel time of 30 to 60 minutes.
What is happening?
Rijkswaterstaat is carrying out major maintenance on the stretch between Gouda and Nieuwerbrug. They are renewing the asphalt surface. This will extend the lifespan of the road surface and ensure safe traffic flow.
In addition to renewing the asphalt, they will replace the expansion joints, lower the verges to improve drainage of rainwater, and carry out work on the guardrails. Various repair works will also be carried out on viaducts and bridges.
