Get active and creative with Sjors' booklet
The booklet *Sjors Sportief en Creatief* (*Sjors Active and Creative*) is back again! With this booklet, primary school children can try out a variety of sports and creative activities. Child Mayor Félien Baaij was present on Friday, March 20 at the Martin Luther King School in Maartensdijk. There, the festive presentation of this year’s booklet took place.
Sjors Sportief en Creatief is published annually and aims to introduce children to sports and creative activities. The selection this year is extensive: badminton, water polo, karate, yoga, tennis, theater, gardening, dance, music, and much more. Children can choose multiple activities, and participation is often free of charge. This makes it easy for kids to discover which activities suit them and where their talents lie, without immediately committing to a membership.
Councillor Anne Marie ’t Hart (arts & culture) says: “I would love for all children in the municipality of De Bilt to get involved in sports or creative activities. Exercise keeps you fit, but it also makes you happy, and you can make new friends at the same time. The same goes for creative activities—making music or painting brings joy. That’s why I urge all children to check out the booklet and try as many activities as possible.”
In the meantime, the booklets have been distributed to all primary schools in the municipality of De Bilt. You can register via actiefindebilt.nl (links to an external website). All activities can also be found there.
