Preliminary final results announced
In a packed city hall, Mayor Alexander Pechtold announced the preliminary results of the municipal council elections on Thursday, March 19, shortly after midnight. Voter turnout was 54.7%. In 2022, 51.6% of Delft voters cast their ballots.
GroenLinks-PvdA remains the largest party
GroenLinks and PvdA together won 9 seats and will continue as the merged party GroenLinks-PvdA with 9 seats on the council. STIP lost one seat, dropping to 5 seats. D66 gained one seat, increasing its representation from 6 to 7 seats compared to 2022. Hart voor Delft, which had 5 seats in 2022, remains at 5 seats. The VVD also remained stable with 3 seats on the council, while the CDA maintained its 2 seats.
All parties secure seats in the council
