The Great Traffic Quiz in Dinkelland once again proved to be a resounding success with a thrilling final, enthusiastic participants, and a packed hall of supporters. This year’s victory went to the Bernardus School from Saasveld.
The Bernardus School from Saasveld has won the Great Traffic Quiz in Dinkelland. At the Kulturhus, pupils from various primary schools competed against each other in a nail-biting final. After a neck-and-neck race, the victory went to the Saasveld school, and Alderman Olde Kalter presented the trophy.
Second place was secured by the Kingschool from Denekamp, followed by the Aloysiusschool from Weerselo in third place. According to the alderman, traffic safety is crucial: “You all participated, and in that sense, you are all winners. Your knowledge of traffic has grown. With this knowledge, you will be much safer on the road. You are traffic champions!”
The enthusiasm in the hall was palpable. The Kulturhus was filled with supporters cheering loudly for their schools. With colorful banners and plenty of cheering, the audience was fully engaged. The prize for the most beautiful banner went to the Kingschool.
Prior to the final, pupils had already tackled traffic-related questions at school. This helped them discover what they already knew and where there was still room for improvement. The Great Traffic Quiz is an initiative by traffic advisory bureau Tref-ik and helps children prepare for participating in traffic in a fun way. At this age, many children are increasingly venturing out on their own, making this knowledge particularly valuable.
