Join in during National Cleanup Day!
On March 21, it’s National Cleanup Day again. Litter is harmful to the environment and looks untidy. Together, we can clean up our streets, parks, and neighbourhoods.
Sign up for a cleanup event in your area or start one yourself. Grab a trash bag and gloves and get going. Cleaning up together is more fun, so if you have nice neighbours, friends, classmates, or colleagues who’d like to help, bring them along!
Last year, I also took part with Hoogkarspel Schoon. It was a useful cleanup moment and very enjoyable to do together. This year, we’re gathering at 1:00 PM in front of the town hall, where materials and bags will be available. No registration is needed. After the cleanup, at 3:00 PM, there will be coffee or soft drinks in Sporthal de Sluis as a thank-you for the volunteers present. Bring a high-visibility vest and your good mood! Will you join in?
Get started yourself!
Want to take action yourself? At the municipal depot in Bovenkarspel, you can borrow grabbers and other materials. Make an appointment via [link]. If you’ve collected a lot of litter, you can report it via [link], and we’ll come and collect it from you. Of course, you can also drop it off at our location yourself.
