The municipal and water board tax assessment is coming
In February, you will receive the annual assessment for municipal and/or water board taxes. This may arrive by post or digitally in your Message Box on MijnOverheid.
Did you know that BWB handles the tax duties for your municipality?
The Belastingsamenwerking West-Brabant (BWB) sends out the assessments and processes payments. They do this on behalf of your municipality. For some taxes, a WOZ value is required. They also determine this value every year. The BWB combines as many municipal taxes as possible into a single assessment notice. This way, you can see at a glance how much tax you need to pay for the entire year. Your tax contributions help fund safety, livability, and amenities in our municipality.
What information will you find on the assessment notice?
On the assessment, you will see the amounts for different types of taxes, such as property tax, sewerage charges, or waste disposal fees. You will also receive information about payment options, applying for remission, or lodging an objection. On the website www.bwbrabant.nl, you can handle many matters yourself via the Digital Counter. If you need further assistance, contact us at 076 – 529 8300 or ask our digital assistant Bo. The BWB is happy to help.
Questions about your WOZ value?
Your new WOZ value is also listed on your assessment notice. Would you like more information about the WOZ value? On the website www.bwbrabant.nl, you can find explanatory videos and additional details. Are you unsure whether the WOZ value is correct? Use the online value check and review your valuation report. You can find this on the Digital Counter. Here, you can read how the WOZ value of your home or property was calculated. Have questions or notice an error? Schedule a phone appointment with the assessor, who will review the details with you and make any necessary corrections free of charge.
Do you disagree with your assessment?
For example, with the WOZ value or one of the assessment rules? You can easily lodge an objection directly with the BWB. Do this within 6 weeks of the date on your assessment notice. Scan the unique QR code on your assessment notice to lodge an objection in just a few minutes. Alternatively, you can use the Digital Counter or submit your objection by post.
