Agreements on Performance 2026: Working together on affordable and sustainable social rental housing
The municipality of Goirle is collaborating with the municipality of Hilvarenbeek, Stichting HBL, and housing corporation Leystromen to ensure sufficient affordable and sustainable social rental housing. On March 12, we signed the performance agreements for 2026 and the Housing Covenant 2026–2027 to this end.
These agreements outline how we will work together to make our villages future-proof. Our goal is to ensure that everyone can live comfortably, now and in the future.
What do the agreements entail?
More suitable housing
We aim to build more homes, particularly social rental housing and homes tailored to different age groups, such as starter homes, family homes, and senior housing.
Affordable housing
We are closely monitoring housing costs. If residents face difficulties, we will offer timely assistance.
Sustainable municipalities
We are improving existing homes to reduce energy consumption. New homes will be built sustainably. We are also working toward a greener and healthier living environment.
Combining housing and care
We are developing new housing options for people with care needs, enabling residents to live safely and independently at home for longer.
"What makes me proud is how we are working together in this region: municipalities, tenants, and Leystromen. We give housing seekers a clear voice and invest in sustainable housing projects. With the Housing Covenant and the performance agreements, we have laid a solid foundation to truly make progress."
-Councilor Liselotte Franssen
