Compensation for herb-rich field margins
This year, farmers and residents of the rural area can again participate in the herb-rich field margins project. In collaboration with ANV Hooltwark, a strip of the plot is sown with a mixture of flowers and herbs. These plants provide plenty of nectar and attract insects. Herb-rich field margins benefit nature. They increase biodiversity and strengthen the ecosystem. They also make the rural area more attractive. The municipality of Hof van Twente supports this project. The seeds and sowing are free of charge.

Farmers can receive compensation for the area of land used for this purpose. The compensation is €0.15 per m². Each participant is eligible for a maximum of €500 (up to 3,333 m²).
