Submitting a report
If you suspect that a counting error has occurred at a polling station, you can report it. This involves reporting potential errors in the minutes of the polling stations and municipal polling stations or the digital file of the municipal polling station. You can use the following form to do so:
Reports can be submitted until Tuesday, March 24, at 12:00 PM. On March 26, there will be a public session of the central polling station at 1:00 PM, during which the final results will be confirmed.
Conditions for submitting a report
Reports must be submitted in writing. Reports cannot be made by phone or via social media. A report regarding potential counting errors must meet several requirements to be considered. These requirements are as follows:
- Reports must be submitted to the central polling station no later than Tuesday, March 24, at 12:00 PM.
- Reports must concern potential errors in the counting of votes in the minutes or the digital file with municipal results. These are errors that the municipal polling station can correct. Other issues, such as a polling station opening late or insufficient ballot papers, can be addressed during the session of the relevant (municipal) polling station.
- A report must be substantiated and specific. Simply stating that an error has occurred is not sufficient. The reporter must indicate precisely what the error is, which polling station it concerns, and the nature of the error.
- The report must be based on personal observation, not hearsay. For example: "I voted for candidate X, and my vote cannot be found." Not: "I heard that polling station X did not count votes correctly." Or: "My neighbor says he voted for candidate X, and that vote cannot be found."
- Personal data does not need to be shared when submitting a report.
