Mainport programme
The Mainport Programme Zeehavens Zeeland – West-Brabant is making our seaports more resilient to undermining crime and cracking down on criminals to ensure safe working and good business. It is a joint approach by the municipalities of Vlissingen, Borsele, Terneuzen and Moerdijk, the police, Public Prosecution Service, Customs, Royal Military Constabulary, Tax and Customs Administration and the port companies North Sea Port and Port of Moerdijk. Together with entrepreneurs, we are ensuring that criminals have no opportunity to, for example, smuggle drugs. We are doing this by better securing the ports and making the people who work there more resilient. At the same time, we are actively seeking out criminal activities, seizing drugs and punishing offenders.”
