Municipalities of Nunspeet and Epe launch integrated traffic plan for Gortelseweg, Oranjeweg and Vierhouterweg
In recent years, much attention has been given to the traffic situation on Gortelseweg, Oranjeweg and Vierhouterweg. These roads frequently experience nuisance caused by through and tourist traffic.
Additionally, there are concerns about traffic safety, partly due to wildlife spotters and the number of animal collisions. To address these issues carefully, the municipalities of Nunspeet and Epe, along with traffic consultancy Sweco, are collaborating on a new integrated traffic plan for the area. This plan focuses on solutions that not only improve traffic safety but also take into account nature, landscape, environment, and the nearby Natura 2000 areas. It is also important to us to involve all stakeholders in a careful manner.
Advisory group established
An advisory group has been set up to develop the traffic plan, comprising various stakeholders such as village associations, nature organizations, and the province. Residents of Gortelseweg, Oranjeweg and Vierhouterweg are also part of this advisory group.
Open house sessions for everyone
In addition to the advisory group, the municipalities are organizing two open house sessions. During these sessions, everyone can view, contribute ideas, and respond to the developments, even if they are not part of the advisory group. Once the dates are confirmed, they will be published on the official channels of the Municipality of Epe and the Municipality of Nunspeet.
