Free compost for residents on Friday, March 27
Spring has arrived, which means it’s time to prepare the garden or balcony for the new season. That’s why residents can pick up free compost on Friday, March 27. With this initiative, we thank them for separating their vegetable, fruit, and garden waste (VGF).
Between 12:30 and 20:00, the compost will be available at the parking lot near Sporthal Voscuyl (De Voscuyl 36). Each household may take a maximum of two bags of compost, as long as supplies last.
The compost is made from VGF waste that residents have separated. It is processed into a natural soil improver that promotes healthy soil and strong plants. In this way, residents directly contribute to a circular economy and a more sustainable municipality.
The distribution is organized in collaboration with Indaver and is part of the nationwide initiative by the Association of Waste Companies (Vereniging Afvalbedrijven) for National Compost Day. Across the Netherlands, waste companies are thanking residents in this way for their efforts.
We warmly invite all residents to come and collect compost, and we wish everyone a green and blooming spring.
