Blue zone to be established in Reusel city centre
The municipality is introducing a blue zone on the Markt and Groeneweg in the centre of Reusel. This traffic regulation applies to everyone visiting, living or working in the centre.
Why a blue zone?
Construction is taking place on and around the Markt. New homes and shops are being added, increasing demand for parking spaces. The blue zone is intended for short-term parking, ensuring parking spaces near shops remain available for visitors.
Where will the blue zone be located?
The blue zone will be implemented on the following streets and parking locations:
- Markt (existing parking area on the north side of Wilhelminalaan);
- Markt (new parking area on the south side of Wilhelminalaan);
- Groeneweg (new parking area near the supermarket);
- Wilhelminalaan (between the Schoolstraat roundabout and Kerkplein).
How does the blue zone work?
The blue zone will be in effect from Monday to Sunday, between 08:00 and 21:00. You may park for a maximum of 2 hours using a parking disc. The introduction will be rolled out in phases, aligning with construction work in the centre. The southern part of the Markt is expected to be completed in March/April 2026, with the northern part following in June 2026. The blue zone does not apply to disabled parking spaces. Residents with a disability can apply for an exemption via a disabled parking permit based on their vehicle registration.
Traffic regulation
To establish the blue zone, a traffic regulation has been issued. The regulation was published in the Municipal Gazette on Monday, 9 March 2026. The full regulation, including a situational map, can be viewed at www.officielebekendmakingen.nl. You may lodge an objection with the mayor and aldermen within six weeks via: Postbus 11, 5540 AA Reusel.
